The Mammoth clash that previously resulted in a controversial draw will now be replayed between two of boxing’s most profiled athletes.Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will lock horns once again at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday the 22nd February 2020.
Lead up to the Rematch
The rematch comes off of the back of what was a stunning first encounter between the two heavyweights that subsequently ended in what many say is a controversial draw. Since then however both fighters have looked good taking recent wins under their belts, for the Gypsy king it meant beating Sweden’s Otto Wallin by unanimous decision as well as an earlier tie in with Tom Schwarz which ended in a TKO for Fury. Deontay Wilder defended his Heavyweight WBC title against a formidable foe in Luis Ortiz, a signature finish by The Bronze Bomber to end things in the 7th round. Wilder also defeated Dominic Breazeale shortly before through KO.
The win’s for Wilder will see him enter the bout with Fury holding an incredible 98% KO record at 42-0, arguably one of the hardest hitters in the sport, Fury sitting at a respectable 68% with a record of 29-0.

“There’s no more ducking and diving,” said Fury. “The date has been set, and the ‘Bomb Squad’ is about to be securely detonated and the real champion crowned as the world watches on for the most anticipated fight in years.
Tyson Fury outclassed Deontay Wilder for the majority of their first clash with that vicious knockdown saving the champion from a decision loss. Fury is expected to be the fittest he has been in years and now he has experienced 12 rounds with Wilder he will be better prepared to avoid his scary knockout power and if he succeeds.
The Build up
The rematch promises to be a tantalizing affair between two incredible fighters with WIlder saying that he doesn’t want the referee to give Fury another count as what had happened in the pairs first encounter. It has been confirmed that the much anticipated heavyweight bout will be contested for the last remaining title of Ring magazine heavyweight as well as of course Wilder’s WBC heavyweight title.
