Is PalaceBet definitely closed?
Next we explain the current PalaceBet status, what is no longer available, and what former PalaceBet customers should know.
Is PalaceBet Still Operating in South Africa?
No. PalaceBet is no longer operating in South Africa. The former sportsbook is no longer available for new registrations, active betting or current promotional offers.
If you have arrived on this page looking for the PalaceBet sportsbook, the important thing to know is that the operator is no longer active. Any PalaceBet welcome bonuses, registration offers, deposit promotions or betting instructions published while the site was operating should now be treated as historical information only.
What about the old PalaceBet review?
ProBets originally reviewed PalaceBet while the sportsbook was active. Some historical information may still be retained on this page for reference, but it should not be interpreted as a current recommendation or indication that PalaceBet can still be used.
So what happened to PalaceBet?
Next we look at the known history of the operator and what can safely be said about the closure without speculating.
What Happened to PalaceBet?
PalaceBet was previously an active South African sportsbook, but the operator has since ceased operating. Here is what we know about the brand and its history — without speculating about the reason for its closure.
PalaceBet’s history in South Africa
PalaceBet launched into the South African betting market through a collaboration involving Peermont Hotels, Casinos and Resorts and sports betting technology company DraftKings.
The sportsbook formed part of Peermont’s move into online betting, building on the group’s established presence in South African gaming and entertainment.
While active, PalaceBet offered sports betting, live betting, casino games and other online betting products to South African users.
What we can confirm today
Why did PalaceBet close?
ProBets has not seen a sufficiently clear official explanation that allows us to confidently attribute the closure to one specific cause. Rather than speculate, we have updated this page to reflect the confirmed position: PalaceBet is no longer operating.
Did you previously have a PalaceBet account?
The next section covers what former PalaceBet customers should do if they had an old account, balance or unresolved withdrawal.
Had a PalaceBet Account? Here’s What to Do
If you used PalaceBet before it closed, your concern may be less about finding another sportsbook and more about an old account, remaining balance or pending withdrawal. The most important thing is to rely on verified information rather than outdated links or unofficial third parties.
Start with any official PalaceBet communication you received
Check the email address and mobile number that were linked to your former PalaceBet account for any messages sent around the closure. Those communications may contain account-specific instructions that cannot be reproduced accurately on a third-party website such as ProBets.
Can I still log in to PalaceBet?
Because PalaceBet is no longer operating as an active sportsbook, you should not assume that the former login, cashier or account functionality remains available. Do not use old ProBets signup or betting links as a way of trying to access the platform.
What if I had money in my account?
If you had a remaining cash balance when PalaceBet stopped operating, look for official communication relating to account settlement or withdrawals. ProBets cannot see or access your former PalaceBet balance.
What about a pending withdrawal?
Keep copies of any withdrawal confirmation, transaction reference, account statement, screenshots and correspondence you still have. These records may be useful if you need to escalate an unresolved matter.
Are old PalaceBet bonuses still valid?
No current PalaceBet bonus should be assumed to remain active. Welcome offers, free bets, deposit matches and other promotions published while the sportsbook was operating should now be treated as historical only.
✅ If you have an unresolved PalaceBet account issue
Work through the following steps and keep a record of everything you send or receive.
Be cautious of anyone claiming they can recover your PalaceBet funds
Do not pay an upfront fee, send banking passwords, provide one-time PINs or upload identity documents to an unverified person or website claiming to recover an old PalaceBet balance.
What if the matter is still unresolved?
PalaceBet historically operated under a South African gambling licence. If you have a genuine unresolved account or withdrawal matter and cannot resolve it through official operator communication, the appropriate provincial gambling regulator may be able to advise you on the correct complaint or escalation process.
What was PalaceBet like before it closed?
Next we preserve the useful parts of our original PalaceBet review as an archived look at the sportsbook, its products and how it used to operate.
What PalaceBet Was Like Before It Closed
ProBets originally reviewed PalaceBet while the sportsbook was still active. The section below preserves a condensed historical snapshot of the platform, its products and the experience it previously offered South African users.
Archived information — PalaceBet is no longer operating
The products and features described below are retained for historical reference only. They are not current offers, and this section should not be interpreted as a recommendation to register, deposit or attempt to use the former PalaceBet platform.
PalaceBet at a glance
While active, PalaceBet operated as a South African online betting platform offering a mix of traditional sports betting, live sports markets and gaming products.
ProBets’ original review found the site relatively simple to navigate across desktop and mobile, with users able to move between sports, promotions and gaming products from the same account.
The historical platform also supported account verification, deposits, withdrawals and a dedicated mobile experience.
Products PalaceBet previously offered
These features formed part of the PalaceBet experience while the platform was active.
Sports Betting
PalaceBet offered betting markets across a broad range of sports, leagues and match types, including standard pre-match markets.
Live Sports Betting
Users could previously place in-play bets while selected sporting events were taking place.
Casino Slots
PalaceBet later added online slot games from international gaming software providers.
BetGames
The platform featured live betting games through BetGames, combining fixed-odds style betting with streamed game formats.
Lucky Numbers
PalaceBet also included access to selected local and international number-draw betting products.
Live Casino Games
The historical offering expanded to include live dealer table games such as roulette and blackjack.
ProBets’ historical view of PalaceBet
When we originally reviewed PalaceBet, we found the platform generally easy to navigate and broad in terms of sports and entertainment products. We did experience some difficulty with support during account verification, but overall our historical review of the active platform was positive. That assessment relates only to PalaceBet as it operated at the time and does not change its current status as a closed sportsbook.
Which PalaceBet alternative should you choose?
Next we match former PalaceBet users to an active sportsbook based on what they mainly used PalaceBet for.
Which PalaceBet Alternative Is Best for You?
The best PalaceBet replacement depends on what you actually used the old sportsbook for. Rather than choosing a betting site purely by brand name, match the operator to the type of experience you want.
Start with World Sports Betting
If sports betting was the main reason you used PalaceBet, World Sports Betting is the first alternative we would compare.
Gbets is the broader all-round option
If you used PalaceBet for both sportsbook and casino-style products, Gbets gives you a broader replacement experience.
Compare Supabets
If familiarity and using an established South African betting brand matters most, Supabets is another option worth comparing.
Don’t force a one-for-one PalaceBet replacement
PalaceBet combined several different products, so there may not be one perfect replacement for every former user. Compare the features that actually matter to you before choosing.
