6+ Poker Game Review
6+ Poker, (also known as ‘Short-Deck Hold’ em’) is yet another dynamic poker style variation aimed specifically for South African players who love casino style games. The huge demand for outcome based casino games has led to Betgames extending their already robust offering, to now include not one but two poker style variations, both of which carry with them the same feel as the popular favourite, Texas ‘hold ’em’.
Conducted by one of the beautiful live dealers and available 24/7, players will have their chance to get in on the action at any point in time, wether it be at home or on the go.
Some of the exciting changes players can come across in this game of chance includes a flush ranking higher than full house, and a three of a kind beating a straight.
Where Can I Play Bet On 6+ Poker?
How Do I Play 6+ Poker?
Following a similar style to the much popularised Texas Hold’em variation, 6+ Poker does come with its own great additional nuances and game play features.
For starters, the game is played using a modified 36 card deck, so there are no twos, three’s, fours, or fives. This of course changes the probability and winnings slightly.
Like traditional poker games, aces are the highest card and can make both low and high straights. For example, the lowest straight would be (A-6-7-8-9) and the highest (10-J-Q-K-A).
Some variations to the game include flush ranking higher than full house, and a three of a kind beating a straight.
The game is played between two sides – the Player and the Dealer.
The player is dealt two faced up cards in the demarcated blocks in front of them, this is known as the players hand. The dealer hand is also drawn to cards, but these remain face down until the last betting round ends. In the middle of the table is the board, here 5 community cards are drawn from which both the dealer and player will make use of to form there best 5 card poker hand.
The aim of the game is simple, look to form the best possible 5-card poker hand using any combination of the 7 cards available (the 2 in front of you + the 5 community cards on the board)
A Flop is characterised by the first three community cards on the board, which are dealt after the Player and Dealer receive their 2 pocket cards.
A Turn is the fourth community card on the board which is dealt once the third betting round ends.
A River is the fifth community card which is dealt once the fourth betting round ends.

What Outcomes Can You Bet On In 6+ Poker?
When it comes to the actual outcomes players can place their bets towards, 6+ Poker carries with it two main categories. The first is betting on the overall hand, here players can simply bet on either their overall hand to win, the dealers hand to win, or alternatively a split.
The second category is more in line with your general poker style winning combinations. These include the high card, one pair, straight, flush, and of course, the royal flush.
